This book is the second Rikai (textbook) of the elementary A2 level. It is complemented by Marugoto: Katsudō (elementary level A2-2). Marugoto: Japanese Language and Cultureis a series of textbooks published by the Japan Foundation, based on theJF Standard for Japanese Language Education, which aims to develop both Japanese language skills and an understanding of Japanese culture. The Marugoto series consists of six levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2. Each level may include one or more volumes. Each course is structured into two components, which may be combined in one book or published separately: Rikai (textbook) and Katsudō (communicative activities).
