The thesis presents an investigation into the effect of the presence and propagation of cracks in the concrete on the dynamic properties of reinforced concrete beams. three under-reinforced concrete beams of nominally the sane design are tested individually during the experiments. cracking is introduced by applying a load at the third points of the test beams by means of the hydraulic jack and increasing this load progressively causing in this way, a continual loss of stiffness of the structures.
