An alqorithm for diqital character scaling by method is developed and implemented.The diqitized imaqe of the font scaled is obtained by a vidicon means of to be camera .The character must be thresholded before processinq with this method. The alqorJ..thm is the based on scaling the contour of character throu9h a transformation. cubic splines are used to l.nterpolate contour discrete samples the of the character. The alqorithm is applied to Arabic characters.
