Presents an application of information retrieval in a environment, by computerising the documents stored in a documents are either in English/ French or in Arabic. to processing them are discussed; the possibilities to are studied and a solution is developed. English and are grouped together and a method for their retrieval Arabic documents are not considered in their original romanised. The proposed method for searching the Arabic is based on the reduction of the words into root-pattern pairs by a morphological study of the Arabic words. The are totally separated from English/ French documents.
