Manipulations d’électricité. Fascicule II, is a practical laboratory manual devoted to the experimental study of electrical phenomena, with particular emphasis on alternating current, the oscilloscope, and circuits containing resistors and capacitors. The book introduces students to the practical measurement of alternating voltages and currents and to the use of electrical measuring instruments under AC conditions. It then develops experimental studies of resistive circuits and of resistor-capacitor circuits, allowing the reader to observe phenomena such as capacitor charging and discharging, transient behavior, and the influence of resistance and capacitance on an electrical circuit. A central part of the manual is devoted to the oscilloscope, presented as an essential instrument for observing time-dependent electrical signals and determining quantities such as amplitude, period, frequency, and phase relationships. The experiments are designed to connect theoretical electrical laws with practical measurements, requiring the student to assemble circuits, take measurements, record observations, analyze experimental curves, and compare measured results with theoretical expectations. Overall, the fascicle adopts a strongly experimental and pedagogical approach, aiming to develop both practical skills in electrical measurement and a clear understanding of the behavior of alternating-current and resistor-capacitor circuits.
