Electrical Technology has been written according to the curriculum of some branches of Engineering (other than electrical) of JNTU Hyderabad (A.P.). The author has made modest effort to give in concise form various feature of Electrical Technology as stipulated in the curriculum using simple language and through solved examples, avoiding the rigorous of mathematics. Salient Features Various characteristics of D.C. generators and motors explained. Operation, O.C., S.C. Tests, Voltage regulation and efficiency calculation of single phase transformer discussed. Three phase induction motors, their characteristics starting methods discussed. Derivation of e.m.f. equation, calculation of regulation and efficiency of three phase alternators explained. Operation and application of single phase induction motors A.C. and D.C. tachometer, servomotors, synchros and stepper motor described. Basic principles of operation and application of moving coil, moving iron instruments described.
