Theoretical work was carried out to determine the gesvonse of corrugated silos under vertical compressive loag and internal pressure in both linear elastic and plastic ranges the elastic analysis required the development of the general equations of equilibrium and deformation for " continuous surface of revolution under arbitrary loading. for the case of vertical loading these equations were reduced to two differential equations which were solved simultaneously for the bdarticular solution only. this solution was validated by comparing it to finite element analysis with a correlation of chart has been drawn that relates the maximum forces and bending moments to the silo geometry.
