in this ,we endeavoured to characterize the food ecology of the genet (genetta genetta l 1758) in a mediterranean southern forest ecosystem, on the level of the national park of kala since july 2003 until june 2004. the use of the coprologic method and the taxonomic identification of the items consumed by the genet enabled us to identify at least 723 preys pertaining to 6 food categories (mammalian, birds ,arthropods, reptiles, amphibians and plants ).
